Vāgāṃbhṛṇī Vilāsaṃ:- Part 1
Auṃ Namastripurasundarī🌺
I Bow down in the Lotus feets of Śrī Bhāskararāya and Bhagwatī Lalitāmbikā🙇♂️
I move along with Rudras, Vasus, Adityas and Viśwadevās
Firstly, Tripura was worshipped by all these says Devi Bhagwatam:-
Brahmā, Vişņu, S'iva, Indra, Varuņa, Yama, Väyu, Agni, Kubera, Tvastr, Pūṣan, Asvins, Bhaga, Adityas, Vasus, Rudras, Visvedevas, Marudgaņas, all these meditate on Devi, the cause of creation, preservation, and destruction.
Its the low quality interpretation,,
lets go on higher one
As we know this Sūkta describe Parā Speech or Kuṇḍalinī which is cause of creation (as described in Previous post), which becomes the speakable words so lets move on Word Science
First Meaning
The first word of this Sūkta is Ahaṃ, first we should know what is Ahaṃ
A Text(name i won't tell) says:-
On the Union of Śivaśaktī, the Supreme Parameśwarī pervading the Universe appears as Anuttar Lipi(A) and Vimarśa Lipi(Ha)
The Supreme Shakti appears as Ahaṃ kar in the order of creation, the Sūkta's first word is also Ahaṃ
This Ahaṃ Pervades the Universe:-
This Chitt formed by Kriya(Shakti) and Jnana(Shiva) is that 'Ahaṃkār', in this Ahaṃtattva whole universe is pervaded.
Tantras says:-
Salutations to the Goddess, Who is the sacred alphabet and on whose single letter the three worlds from Brahmalok to the lowest region are threaded as beads on a great string
By the Sutra of 'Pratyāhār' just like 'Acha' contains all words from A to Cha.. same 'Ahaṃ' contains all Sanskrit Alphabets from A to Ha
(Kṣa, Tra, Ĵña derieved alphabets are not in Brāhmī Script)
Question arises, Who is this Vidyā?
This Shivashakti Eik Rupini Kāmakalāvidyā is Mahātripurasundarī, on knowing her one becomes her(relisation)
Next word is 'Rudra', letter 'E' is depicted by Rudra(11th letter) (one can see Agni Purāṇ where the lexicon part for mono syllable words is discussed)
For this, The same Tantra further says:-
It can be seen that from the Brahmalok to the lowest region the universe is originated as a triangle which is the 11th Supporting Seed(E)
From this Ahaṃ tattva, the Universe is originated as letter 'E'..
Srirudram also says ''Namo Viśwarupebhyo'' Rudra in the form of Universe
A fact about it is Rigved Starts with 'A' , Yajurved with 'A' and Sāmved with 'I' on adding them you will get 11th Swar 'E'..
Next word is 'Vasu'.. the AKachādī Vargās in Sanskrit are called Vasuśreṇī.. they are total 8 ..
As The same Tantra further says:-
The Great goddess who is the class of letters A Ka Cha and Ṭ T Pa Ya Śa,
This describe in further creation Devi, pervaded these other letters
Ādityas are 12 Kalās of Sun depicted by specific letters (i will add them after some references)
For these The Tantra further says:-
Salutations to the great goddess Whose form is the Supreme bliss and who is swaying in the vast wave of Kula Kalās, and who is beyond the turmoil
Kula Kalās are 12 Kalās of Sun, 15 Kalās of Moon, 10 Kalās of Agnī
These 12 Kalās, are 12 months or Time, but as Said She is beyond turmoil so she is unaffected by these types of time distinctions
These 12kalās form the 12 petals of Anāhat Chakra
Viśwadevas are limbs
Atharvaved 15.7
The Gods(Viśwadeva) within his body were disposed as limbs
Devi also in Tantra:-
who abides in elder limbs and also in arms, heart, back, hips, feets
From Ahaṃ Tattva to elemental body(limbs etc).. creation proceed in this manner
This same manner Which is in this Sūkta is followed in Śrīyantra of Mahātripurasundarī.. i.e. from Bindu(Ahaṃ) to Trikon(E) then Vasukoṇ(Akacha) etc.. (details in some other post)
Second Meaning
Śvetāśwatar Upaniṣad 1.6 says
Situated In everybeing, the Moving supreme self
The God moves in Brahmachakra
('Ha'= Shiva, 'Sa'= Shakti)
So, Haṃs means Shivashakti, for more details one can read Hamsa Shoda Upanisad
So here the she is depicted as Moving Self.
Yoga Vasista says:-
Recognise Kundalaini as your self, the Giver of Life.. which is also called Puryāṣṭaka, Like Scent in Flower,
Saundarya Lahari also:-
(Devi moves in the world(of Chakras) as Shakti of God)
Ouestion arises, Why with Rudras and Vasus?
For that
Bṛhadāranyak 3.9.3 says Vasus are five elements, Sun, Moon and Heaven
Same Upaniṣat in 3.9.4 says 11 Rudras to be 10 Prāṇ + Mind.. or another intrerpretation is 5Karmendriya, 5Jnanendriya and Mind
Ādityās as we know are meśa ityādī 12 Rāśīs
Śāṇḍilya Upaniṣad, describe the different places of Nāḍīs and Prāṇ associated with them.. all these Nāḍī surrounds Suṣumna in which Kuṇḍalinī moves, It alone can grant Moksa
Kaṭha Upanishad 2.16 also says:-
There are one hundred and one Nadis which emerge from Hridaya (heart) one Nadi goes out piercing the head. Going up through that, one attains immortality; the others serve for departing in different ways.
There are many Nāḍīs, but Ṣānḍilya Upanisad describe 10 main Nāḍīs
The Five elements are 5 Chakras, like Earth is Muladhar etc..
Sun is said Rudra Granthi by Tantras,
Moon is Brahmarāndhra
(Tantrarāj Tantra)
In the head below, in the Brahmarandhra, there is the moon.
Heaven is Satlok, or Sahasrahara
In Anandlahari lahari Ācharya also said:-
Oh Goddess mine,
You live in seclusion with your consort, In the lotus with thousand petals, Reached after breaking through the micro ways, Of the power of earth in Mooladhara, Of the power of water of Mani poora, Of the power of fire of Swadhishtana, Of the fire of air in the Anāhat, And of the power of ether in Ajna
As said elsewhere Vishwadevas are Limbs only..
So Devī is described as Mahā Kuṇḍalinī Swaroopā here,,
the Kuṇḍalini concept is not alien to Vedās
Taittiriyāraṇyak 1.27
Arise Sleep not, ye who rejoice in the Light, the desire, the fire, be satisfied by the Nectar of King with the Help of Sun
Whatever the Hissing sound the girl makes, whatever the woman(does) and whatever good things after marrige does, Fire Helps
Chaṇḍogya Upanisad 8.6.6 also point the concept
Third Meaning
The God moves in Brahmachakra
In this Śrutī, Brahmachakra is discussed
Just like the center of a Chakra remains always Stable and Nirvikār and other parts on sides rotates in cycle..
So is in Brahmachakra, Center is Ātmā, Always Nirvikār.. Prāṇ(Rudras), Elements(Vasus), Aditya(Time), Vishwadev(Limbs) etc all these moves in a cylcle of creation and destruction..
But The Supreme Self 'Ahaṃ' i.e. Devī always remains Nirvikār
Thus ends the explaination of Devī Sūkta First part of Verse 1
🌺🌺Jayatū Bhagwatī Śrīchakrrāj Nilayā Parameśwarī Śrīmad Mahātripurasundarī 🌺🌺
Jayatū Srimat Mahā Vāmkeśwarī !!❤️🌺🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this is a well-studies explanation.
